Do not open ‘til Christmas? Whoever coined that phrase obviously hasn’t tasted Christmas Ale’s fresh honey, cinnamon, and ginger flavors.

Something subtle right at the back end I’m not a fan of, maybe the ginger?

330 ml, bottle.
Old tick from 2018. I'd say this was my first Christmas Ale I ever drank - and I liked it :)

Clear amber pour with a small khaki head and fair retention. No lacing. Honey nose. Strong honey flavor and minor cinnamon notes. Warming 7.5 ABV is noticeable but not overpowering. Okay.

Pour is a clear tan with a small white head. Aroma is a nice cinnamon and overall gingerbread cookie sweetness. Flavor is more gingerbread and cinnamon with a little treacle in there. Well past it’s best by dated but the spices are still holding up. When drank fresh the spices must be off the chain, maybe a bit of age on this beer will do it well.

On tap at Jake Melnick’s. Pours a clear amber with beige head. Ginger dominates the aroma with other spicy esters. Faint dark fruit. On the flavor, the spices dominate as the ginger fades. The ginger aroma and spice flavor are a little too assertive, but not a bad offering.
