While the size of the boot might be a bit small, the intensity of the hop flavor and aroma in Size 7 more than makes up for it. We take prodigious amounts of hops and add them any chance we get to this Northwest style IPA. If you ever call Size 7 balanced we’ll kick you where it hurts (in the hop sack).

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium white head and good lacing. Aroma is dominated by pine and spruce, with a bit of caramel as well. Flavor is piney, with a bit of lightly sweet caramel and citrus. Finish is medium bitter. A good effort.

Tasty IPA, big and grainy and herbal, with a pungent hop middle that rolls into a huge bitter finish. Starts semisweet, with a great earthy malt middle, and then the hops explode into an oily IBU finish, funky and strong with a lovely citric herbal backbone. Finishes hoppy and happy. Very nice IPA.

On tap at SPSBF. Pours a clear gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a really nice dank pine hops with a bit of marijuana and a hint of a malt back bone. Flavor begins with dank pine up front that mellows to earthy pine and grass with a backing light grain note.

On tap at the brewery. This is a good ipa. Aroma has citrus with hops. Dry, bitter flavor with more citrus & flowers. Good palate, and very fresh. Its not balanced, it is hop-forward. And that is OK.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, caramel, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and lots of hops, leading to a bitter and fruity finish. A bit too raw.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours a cloudy deep golden with a small off-white head. Fresh citrusy hops in the nose. Medium body, sweet peachy fruit quickly relived by a massive citrusy hoppiness - ends very bitter. 220312
