Thank you Kraddel! 330 ml. bottle sampled. Sparkling amber orange, little off-white head. Nose is boring dull oily leaves, smells like a 3 year old USA IPA basically overall, cardboard, oxidized malts, no idea why I am getting these notes, this has been just released. Taste is rubbish oily cardboard, old USA IPA, herbs, ditch water, bad-aid, thin oily caramel malts, corn, oxidation,… Thin, ditchwater, cardboard malt. This is very weak, more so even than the regular one. I mean I get that a boring bitter or whatever suits Iron Maiden (I am a fan), I am not expecting them to make an experimental, double BA whatever but they should be able to do better than this. This less “The Trooper” and more “A Matter of Life and Death”.

Bottle from the LCBO. Clear dark copper with a tiny short lived white head. Nose is mostly toffee with some light fruit and grass. Medium- toffee sweetness with only a hint of bitterness in the finish. Mouth is creamy and slightly thin with soft carbonation. Less interesting than the regular Trooper. 6-/3/5/3/11
