Midway between a Belgian blonde and a triple, its pale sweet malt notes never fail to charm the palate.
Brewed for the first time in the summer of 1996, its name was inspired by a nun who, after tasting a beer for the first time, said it tasted better than holy water (eau bénite in French). Amen.

Poured from 355mL can (thanks fiulijn). Hazy yellow gold with white head. Estery Belgian yeast with underlying spices. Decently full flavour despite the lower abv (compared to La Fringante).

Canadian night, tonight. Apple and hops in the aroma. Resembles a Duvel aroma, only less outspoken. Golden color, a bit hazy. Medium to full bodied, some rest sweetness and alcohol. Orange and apple. Some yeastiness. A distant hoppiness comes up. Surprisingly easy drinkable. Very well made, pleasant beer that does the job.

750ml bottle at the RateBeer DC tasting. I believe I overheard that this was a 2 year old bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light herbal notes, some lemon notes. Light sweet grains, wheat. Light cardboard? Light fruity notes. Hay with a dry finish.

Rated from old notes. The devils of La Maudite are sunk in holy water. Fruity aroma with a dry, understated fruity taste. This is similar to Blanche de Chambly, but more assertive.
