Awesome brew. Orange pour with great head and lacing. Florals and sweet malt in aroma. Sweet perfumy finish, soft carbonation. Coriander and clove are well-balanced. Everything well in order in here for a great triple. On tap at Novare Res.

Keg at Stiminee de Garre (2013 and 2023). Hazy golden body with a thick white head that holds. Faint carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of sea salt, yeast, coriander and white bread and lime zest. Flavour of salted lemon, tamarind, yeast, green banana and bread. Full body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Complex and delicious, with the best mouthfeel of any beer I’ve ever tried.

On draft at Max’s 9th Annual Belgian Fest. Pours a hazy, deep gold with some thin, white head. Big nose, tropical fruit, candy sugar, pineapple. Flavor is the same, tropical fruit, bubble gum. Full, overly sweet finish.

Drank this as Waagstuck ages ago. Cloudy yellow, offwhite creamy head amplified by the tulip glass. Fruity, slight belgian funk - dry yeasty. Peach, melon, apple, slight cheese. Oily mouthfeel. Denies its strength while drinking, powerfull later on.

On tap at Staminee de Garre - Golden colour with creamy beige head, alcoholic, fruity and yeasty smell. Taste: bitter, yeasty, grainy, creamy, fruity, alcohol and spicy. A decent enough beer, but worth the tourist hype?

On-tap in the lovely ’Staminee De Garre’ many times: this review is of one taken on 17 Oct 2012: poured into the usual goblet shaped glass. Old gold body with huge foaming head that subsided enough to see I’d been poured more than it intitially looked. A malty fruit basket of smells hit the nose: they carried on into the taste as well. Add a yeasty feel and a musty nudge to the flavours and you’re about there. Smooth and easy to drink: the alcohol well hidden, goes nicely with the cheese given along side the beer when in De Garre.
