Érződik a karemel is. Igazi dunkel mintapéldány. Ja és gesztenyebarna színe van, annak akit ez érdekel.

Bottled (BZ, BB 02/2011)
Dark nut brown color, good off-white head. Aroma has dark caramel malts and cocoa power, light grassy hoppyness. Medium-bodied. Chocolaty and caramelly flavor, light toasted notes in the finish. Quite low bitterness. Almost a dessert beer.

Bottle. A clear, copper-colored beer topped by a two-finger, creamy head leaving lacings. The aroma has DMS, smoke-notes, hints of cellar and most of all, caramel. Sweet, caramel flavor with some roasted malts and a little dms. Some bitterness shows up towards the end. Full-bodied, quite dry. A decent one, but I could easily do without the DMS. 100327

0.5l bottle that ogivlado got and shared with me (thanks!) After a dunkel from Weissenoher, another dunkel from Weissenoher. Ah, well. They look similar too, big thick tan head that went away at a medium pace perching on top of a red-amber body. Light coffeeish, slightly chocolatey nose is quite familiar too. Still, the taste sets it clearly apart from the Kloster-Sud. Chocolate, raisins, malt, light, maybe too light, nice, simple drinkable dunkel.

Pours bright mahogany into a stein. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Cookie and nutmeg aromas. Crisp and dry with cookie and caramel malts.

50cl bottle, labeled as Monk’s Christmas - lightly hazy dark copper - large, fizzy head - fairly sweet aroma, with strong caramel, some wildflower honey character, llightly spicy hops - fairly creamy body - semi-dry, toasted bread flavor, with light hints of roasted nuts, caramel, moderate hop bitterness - a touch of warming spiciness at the end - dry-ish finish - another solid lager from this brewery.
