Švyturio Baltas is a long-standing member of the traditional collection. This type of beer has a wide range of flavours and scents: aroma of banana, subtle notes of cloves and citrus fruits. The aroma of fruits goes perfect with a dry and quite sour taste of beer. The unfiltered and cloudy beer is recommended to be served in a chilled glass with a slice of lemon.

Bottle from lithuanian friends. Pours hazy, bright yellow with white head. Aroma of banana, cloves, slight caramel and yeast. Maybe a touch of rubber. Taste is on the sweeter side with caramel, banana, wheat and slight lemon and white pepper. Quite decent weizen without anything special or memorable.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. A quid. Cloudy, pale orange. Quite dense, lasting, thick, white head. Aroma is yeasty, herby sweet. Some clove. Light spice. Taste is soft sweet. Some lemon pith bitterness. Thin body. Has an artificial sweetener thing going on. Bit of an aspirin thing, too. Curious bittersweet finish. Smells ok, but I didn’t like this much overall. Even at a quid a pop.

Typical wit notes. Phenolic. Banana and clove. Coriander. Really benchmark. Reminds me of Hoegarden before they ruined it.

bottle from netto. cloudy light yellow, smooth creamy white head. dry citrussy yeasty aroma at first, but soon follows notes of banana and malts. flavor is malts, banana, somewhat bitter malty. on the balance, i’d say the flavor is slightly more malty than your usual hefe. overall a drinkable hefe, but tastes a bit too much like the other popular macro brands.

Hazy, pale yellow. Fluffy white head. Yeasty aroma, bready and slighlty estery. Flavour is sweet with ususal hefe-esters. Not bad, but not very exciting either.
