A dark, sweet, full-bodied plum porter. Background notes of damson and blackcurrant are followed by the fruitiness of the plum in flavour and aroma.

Bottle from Morrison’s. Aroma is just plum. Black colour with a white head. Slightly roasted malty and plum fruity taste. Maybe too much plum.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a slight tan head that left rapidily. Plummy aroma with some porter in the background. Near med body. Thinner than expected. The plums are perhaps less than super ripe. It's not very sweet. Chocolate provides some bitter. Malt is near hidden. Sort of light and refreshing in a dark way. Different but decent.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - close to opaque black with an olive sheen. Nose - a real plum pudding thing going on. Stewed plum plus sweet spice. Taste - plum and bitter plum skins. Fruitcake follows on. Palate - creamy and tangy and medium bodied. Tangy long finish. Overall - disagreeing with allmyvinyl.

Bottle thanks to Kenny, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of light spice, plum, jam. Taste is vanilla, lots of vanilla. Too much. Custard-like. Finish is odd, creamy.

Bottle picked up from Roys of Wroxham, consumed at home Attenkirchen Thursday 23rd May 2019. Pours dark reddy brown with an off white head. Good plummy aroma along with a touch of chocolate in the background. Perhaps a little bit thin and maybe the aroma suggests that there will be more in the flavour than what you end up with. However it's fine, fruity with a plummy tang, sweetness initially but then a little dry and even some bitterness. Fine.

Bottle from Morrisons, Elland. Dark reddish-brown with no head. The plum is stated in both aroma and taste, and very pleasant within this often brewed style of porter. Always with a sweetness, it's not really a session ale, more of an indulgence.
