A dark, sweet, full-bodied plum porter. Background notes of damson and blackcurrant are followed by the fruitiness of the plum in flavour and aroma.

Pours pitch black, topped with a thin beige head. Sweet nose, strong plum jam and milder chocolate notes. Medium bitterness, slightly soury black currant feel. Medium aftertaste, dry and bittery. Quite light body, almost watery.

50cl bottle from Morrison's, Bracknell An opaque brownish black pour with a loose beige head; rich aroma of stewed damsons; smooth chocolate malt taste with lots of ripe plummy fruit and a spicy bitterness; and a pleasantly dry finish, with lingering fruity chocolate. Really good (but I'm a big fan of damsons and plums, and I know this won't suit everyone).

Bottle from Morrisons. Dark brown body with a thin beige head that fades. No lacing. Aroma of plum and milk chocolate. Flavour of jam, Jelly Babies and wood. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Too sweet and sugary for me.

Bottle at home from the Jerusalem Tavern. A nice pour and a huge nose of plums when I stuck my nose in the tankard. The flavour however was huge, in your face jamminess that dominated the flavour profile. It was too sweet for me and I really couldn't detect any plum flavour. The sweetness affected the mouthfeel and I struggled to finish the beer. This is my first alcopop porter and I will leave you with the word "yuck"

Should've checked @pneurotic's check-in of this before purchasing. It's utterly disgusting. Like drinking your Nan's cheap toilet cleaner.

Black beer, filmy head. Fruity aroma. taste is fruity with bitter malt. Not a hell of a lot to it but it's rich, different and decent.

500ml bottle from Morrison's. Dark brown with a moderate off white head. Aroma is soft, sweet plums, slightly artificial. Flavour is plum, sweetness and a little spice. Too sweet though, definitely not my thing
