DDH Vicinity pours a glowing honey yellow color with a thick, creamy haze. Explosive aromas of mango nectar, pineapple sorbet, orange peel, and a touch of honeydew melon race across the palate. A velvety mouthfeel is greeted by a mild bitterness towards the end of each sip. Richly tropical, incredibly soft, and undeniably hop-saturated, Double Dry Hopped Vicinity is a thoroughly satisfying Double IPA.

16 ounce can from Libby’s Liquors. Fully hazed yellow gold color. Rocky white head. Room filling floral hop aroma hints at melon, peach and mango. Flavors of bittersweet citrus and lemon pith are balanced by light biscuity malt and honeyish notes. Finishes dry and peppery.

17th July 2022 Can. Huge thanks to my beer bro, Dave Wingman Willis, for this gratis can. Cheers mate! Cloudy gold beer, very small pale cream colour head. Nose is rich ripe tropical fruits, complex to boot, touch of pine. A little ripe citrus. Light palate, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a smooth creamy sweetness. Big punchy hops. Biting hop spice from the get go. Ripe tropical fruits and ripe citrus carries over from the nose, some brighter fruits underneath. Finishes smooth and semi dry with still more hop spice. Huge hop delivery here, does that make for an impressive beer? Absolutely! Does it make for a drinkable beer? Not so much! I mean I am drinking it no probs, but it doesn't just evaporate away like the most effortlessly drinkable dipas. Perhaps, a little too spicy. Very good indeed, not quite top notch.

Fort Point draught, 6/9/22. Turbid OJ. Small, white head fades immediately to ring. Smells solidly juicy, some dank spice and estery yeast with mineral and cracker/dough-like malts gently in support. No flaw, booze or resin noted. Soft and juicy in the mouth with some earth, white wine, spice and mineral. Gentle honey and biscuit from the malt, nicely balanced. Ample bitterness on the finish without going overboard. Definitely more chalk and pith than the regular version, of course, but still pretty fantastically juicy and well-done. The texture and dryness are perfect.

Can from Chris M, thanks: pours opaque murk orange with a small loose head. Aroma is a perfumey tropical fruitiness, with pineapple, pine and citrus notes. Taste is a bit aggressive at first, but as it warms it opens up the fruitiness. The taste is still bitter and piny, but the finish is nice with a lingering bitter aftertaste. This is a nice example of a Trillium IPA that doesn't cave to temptation to make it too soft or too fruity.
