Op tap bij Borefts '24. Bruine kleur, beige kraag. Vrij zoet, moutig, rozijntjes, snoepjes, harsig, bitter. Medium body, alcoholisch.

Borefts 2024. A clear dark reddish brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, raisins, strong malt. Taste of resinous bitter hops, pine, raisins, strong dark malt, long bitter finish.

Clear purple brown beer, no head. Aroma: sweet, caramel, earthy, malty, ripe banana, sugary impression, dried fruits, very floral, weird, a bit oxidized, funky, weird, forest fruits. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: hoppy, bitter, oxidized, very soapy, weird, hoppy. Aftertaste: very dirty bitterness, oxidized, banana, yeasty, very bad, don’t like it!

Würziger, röstig alkoholischer Beginn. Malzig, intensiv, leichte Bitterkeit, moderate Süße. Würzig, langer Abgang, gut. 10/11/11/11//11

La brasserie Ramses essaye ici de copier la quadruple de la Trappe sans y arriver. Dans l'esprit, nous y sommes avec une quadruple axée sur un alcool qui se veut vif et tonique. Sauf que sur la quadruple de La Trappe cette force de l'alcool, en plus d'être parfaitement maîtrisée est accompagnée d'une présence en bouche et d'une longueur excellente. Ce qui n'est pas le cas ici avec un corps et une longueur limitée. Le visuel est sur un brun merisier quasiment sans effervescence. Le nez est sur un alcool de type vodka avec raisin et caramel. Simple mais racé. De légères épices apparaissent à l'attaque. L'alcool, à 12 % et vif et donne un bon caractère à la bière. Et si l'intensité monte d'un cran en seconde bouche, arrière bouche et final déçoivent par leur manque de vigueur. Avis mitigé, La Trappe a encore une belle avance...

Bottle. Brown pour. Aroma of caramelised malt, raisin, dates, oak, vanilla and figs. Taste of dry raisin, caramel, dates, figs, caramelised malt, grapefruit, some smoke, bitter piney hop and of course the strange herbmix that is part of every ramses brew. Solid quad, I was expecting a bit more because of the hop hash story.

ABV: 13.0%. Cloudy - hazy medium brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, caramel, moderate yeasty, belgian yeast, dried fruit - raisin. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted - toasted, belgian yeast, alcohol - phenol, malt bitter, quit bitter, light dried fruit - raisin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20190926]
