Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Deep amber with a frothy-bubbly head. It's a stronger fuller-bodied hoppy ale with a touch of sugar in its aroma.

Handpull cask from the King's Head, Leicester. Mid- to dark gold with a loose smattering of white head. Grainy aroma, some white pepper, a touch of vegetal resin. Nice bittersweet taste with only a touch of sulphur. Hoppy astringency on the long finish. Not bad, but fails to scratch that itch...

Cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Amber with a billowing off-white head, sweet and grainy aroma; similar flavours, almost like a strong lager, but with a dry and hoppy finish. Rather thinly bodied considering the ABV.
