Hand pulled pint in a Spoons at lunchtime on 12th February 2025. Nice looking beer, bright amber body, off white crust. Fruity and fairly sweet, leaning towards citrussy, but orchard fruits also in the bowl. Liked it.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby – as Jay IPA. Pours golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is not very strong, but there’s floral hops and citrus in there. There’s a whole dollop of bitterness in the mouth at first, but some underlying sweetness soon comes through. Overall it’s juicy with traditional hops and summer fruits plus spicy hints leading to a dry finish. Takes a bit off getting used to but this is a lovely old style bitter IPA.
