Hand pulled pint in a Spoons at lunchtime on 12th February 2025. Nice looking beer, bright amber body, off white crust. Fruity and fairly sweet, leaning towards citrussy, but orchard fruits also in the bowl. Liked it.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby – as Jay IPA. Pours golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is not very strong, but there’s floral hops and citrus in there. There’s a whole dollop of bitterness in the mouth at first, but some underlying sweetness soon comes through. Overall it’s juicy with traditional hops and summer fruits plus spicy hints leading to a dry finish. Takes a bit off getting used to but this is a lovely old style bitter IPA.

Clear and golden with a frothy/creamy white head. Some floral hops and cereal on the nose, light malt taste with bitter hops bursting through, some hints of citrus fruit before a dry, bitter finish

Flavour is composed of old school English hoppy pale, straw, sileage, grass, green hop, leafy. Palate is semi sweet, watery, but lifeless.

Pours a lightly hazed golden colour with small thin near white head. The aroma is hoppy, dank, tea and some spiciness. A robust bitter taste, some sweet malty notes, toffee, black tea and grapefruit flavours with some grassy, herbal and spicy hops in a bitter finish.
