Eine milde Hopfengabe und ein zusätzlicher Malzanteil machen unser steinie² bei einer Reifezeit von sechs bis acht Wochen besonders süffig – einfach genial!

Pours gold from the bottle with a frothy white head. Aroma is bready, dank, a touch rubbery. Taste is sweet with a mild peppery bitterness at the finish. Reminds me of a Kellerbier in terms of taste and aroma. Medium bodied with a carbonation average for the style. Not bad, but on the whole not very memorable.

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast, with hoppy and malty notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with estery and malty notes. Estery and acidic aftertaste with bitter hints. Not exactly a streak of genius, and by no means of originalit, but definitely a drinkable beer.

Bottle, 5.3%. Mild fruity aroma, slightly ashy. Almost clear pale yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is papery and watery. Bready finish. Low bitterness. The finish is perhaps a little better than the rest, the paper tastes more like malt here. Apart from that, not very interesting.

Clear golden coloured body with a rich, dense, four centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, wheat, coriander seed, a touch of light sugar and some subdued fruits and corn - not too bad. Light-bodied; Strong corn and wheat flavours up front with a very mild sweetness and fruit taste near the end - mild and relatively smooth. Aftertaste shows the fruits and a light wheat with very little else - no hops and no bite or alcohol - not half bad. Overall, not a strong beer and not something worth searching out, but in the relative beer trench that happens to be Frankfurt am Main, this is drinkable and barely, if that, worthwhile shlepping across the pond to drink back at home. I sampled this stubby, Albert Einstein labeled 33 cL bottle purchased from Galeria Kaufhof in Frankfurt, Germany on 19-April-2014, the last time I was there for €1,70 sampled at home in Washington, just a few hours before leaving back for Germany, this time both Frankfurt and luckily Munich on 08-August-2015.

Clear pale to medium golden colour, good fluffy white head, lasts for a while and recedes to thick layer, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malty and corny, grain, hay. Fresh taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, cornn. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, mild dry bittersweet finish. Overall a bit too sweet but nevertheless an okay lager.

33cl @ Zweistein in Wuppertal. --> Lecker! 11/12/11/11
