Saddle Black is our gnarly black beer using Pilgrim, Chinook and Cascade hops to help give a full smoky and citrus aroma. The roasted malts used to craft this full flavoured black beer will give a taste of chocolate and espresso, whilst the use the of smoked malt gives saddle black a well-rounded finish. With aromas are a mix of black pepper, deep fruits, orange and spices. The mouthfeel is full bodied and complex with a lingering bitter finish. IBU 65.

Ok complexity. Tasty and fresh ale.
Black color with a fine tan head. Fine lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an ok carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry ending and the flavor stays at the back of your mouth for a long time. Chocolate, tropical, mild roast, pine and grapefruit hoppy.

Cask @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours a predictable black with tan head. Aroma is dark berries and chocolate malt. Taste is slick with dark berries, pleasing dark malt, faint pine and light chocolate. Interesting.

Tried at the felix holt, Nuneaton. Deep mahogany colour with a thin tan head. Decent roasted malty aroma and taste, also the citrus and fruity hops, really fresh and drinkable.
