Acceptable pale ale, nothing to shout about. Couple of bottles at home with a pizza.

Bottle from LCB, 6 months still in date. I wasn't a big fan of their blueberry bitter so I'm hoping this is better. Pours a mostly clear gold with swirly white top. Bready aroma with light citrus, corn and fusty flora. Taste of grainy malt, some earthiness, sweet flora, light citrus. There is a bold woody hop bitterness which elevates it nicely. Medium bodied. Yes, better than the blueberry bitter.

Hand-pulled half-pint in my local Spoon's on 6th November 2024. Clean amber body, white topping. Fairly sweet and malty, light hop bitterness, orchard fruits and slightly 'woody'.

Cask at Crafty Fox, Old Colwyn. Aroma is sweet and malty, with a boozy edge. Very sweet. Sugary fruit. Doughy. Resinous/ quinine edge, which gradually comes to the fore. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Not keen. Punchy but the sweetness and bitterness don't work for me.

500ml botttle. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of malt, fruits. Taste is sweetish, malty, fruity, with some citric bitterness. Medium boded, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, gluey yeast. The flavour is moderate to light bitter and sweet, with a smooth, malt, gluey, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Windmill, JDW, Stansted Airport 20/07/22. Clear golden with a decent lasting white cap. Nose is dried fruits, toasted grains, light citric peel, bready notes. Taste comprises fruit cake, hint of biscuit, straw, dates, light caramel. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent enough cask affair.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a golden yellow with minimal off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is vaguely floral hops. In the mouth it starts off sweet, but soon there is a sharpness of summer fruits. Texture is creamy with some hints of yeast and caramel. This is rather strange – but it’s OK.
