Benno is a crisp & refreshing craft lager named after the Bavarian 'father' of modern brewing, Benno Scharl (1741-1812) who is credited with the first use of the term "Lagering": a process of cool fermentation followed by a period of maturation in cold storage. You're welcome...

Can from Aldi Ashford and drunk at home. Clear pale gold colour lasting white head. Some lemon OK lager to be honest. No bad flavours. Good lime. Some hop some bitterness on the finish. Good I thought.

Can from Aldi, Inverurie. It pours clearish pale yellow with a small, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, doughy white bread, clean and some custard creams. The taste is crisp, dry, clean, bitter, grassy, straw, peppery spice, some doughy white bread with a dry, grassy finish. Light body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A well executed lagerbier. Very drinkable.
