Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours clear golden with a huge foamy white head. Nice aromas of grains, hay and white bread. Taste has more grains, hay and is bready. light hints of citrus and biscuits. Very malty beer with no bitterness. Slightly sweet finish. Smooth buttery mouthfeel with low carbonation. Nice beer.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear yellow with a slight, foamy white head. Lightly sweet with kites of doughy, biscuity malts, some straw, white bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean finish, more pale biscuits. Tasty, drinkable stuff.

500 ml bottle. Clear pale golden, fluffy head. Metallic notes, citrus, bread, hay, grass. Metallic bitterness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, watery texture, lively carbonated, dry metallic finish. Not great.

Im Glas steht schönes Goldgelb mit gemächlicher, mittelfeiner Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone legt sich rasch auf etwa 1 cm zusammen, wirkt dabei wässerig-stabil und hält diesen Zentimeter aber lange an. Der Duft wirkt angenehm süßlich, leicht fruchtig bis floral mit einer leicht muskatig-pfeffrig wirkenden Würze. Zurückhaltend rezent, frisch und fruchtig-getreidig im Antrunk. Der Mittelteil führ uns zu einem relativ dichten Körper. Die Aromatik spannt hier einen doch sehr weiten Bogen. Süßlich getreidiges Malz, dominante Muskataromatik (bei der auch eine leichte florale Note mitschwingt), angenehme Würze, dazu die zarte Hopfung - das ergibt ein überaus vollmundiges, rundes und gut abgestimmtes Bier. Aber gut, ein Export sollte diesen Anspruch auch haben. Der Mix an Aromen, die akkurate Rezenz und die Ausgewogenheit, schaffen eine wirklich gute Süffigkeit. Der Abgang ist wahrscheinlich der schwächste Punkt dieses Bieres - auch wenn er nicht wirklich schlecht ist. Die Aromatik flacht ziemlich schnell ab und man hat bald das Gefühl, gar kein so gutes Bier getrunken zu haben. Zwar vernimmt man keine Fehlaromen, jedoch wirkt alle plötzlich nicht mehr so rund. Schade irgendwie.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Norma - thank you very much!]. Clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy, malty aroma, subtle malt sweetness, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish malty, minimally strawy, a touch of cereals, corn, minimally grassy and floral, bitter hoppy counterpart with minimal citrusy tartness; slightly lingering, hoppy finish. Watery texture, super-soft and smooth palate, very fine, soft but efficacious carbonation. Well crafted, well balanced, highly drinkable - a very nice beer for NORMAl daily use.
