330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, bretty and roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of Hubba Bubba bubblegum, coffee, vinous fruitiness. Taste is bitter roasty, dark malty, mildly bretty and woody, minimally vinous fruity, miimally diluted notes of coffee, coffee beans, low residual sweetness; slightly dry, minimally woody finish, very well hidden alcohol.
Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously slightly dry and almost a tad astringent palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Intense coffee flavours, lots of brett in the nose, not much brett in taste; partially a bit weird and disharmonius, but separatedly very nice brett and coffee flavours - quite interesting.

Bottle at home. Pours black with a thon beige head. Nose is dark chocolate and coffee, light earthy notes and some pleasant funk, fruity-leathery, it’s not too wild but gives a nice twist. Taste is light bitterness and light sweetness; showing coffee and dark chocolate, earthy notes and dried fruits, moderate funk, nicely balanced. Closes with a coffee finish with fruity hints, has a light to medium body and soft to average carbonation. It’s a nice coffe stout (although I expected more coffee character) but some more body wouldn’t have hurt. Loved the brett in this and wouldnt have mind if it was even more pronounced but hey.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeer-Shop.com', bottled in December 2019. Clear, very dark ruby to medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty, gently fruity and moderately funky aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, red berries and light manure. Gently sweet, malty, fairly roasty, quite fruity and slightly funky taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, lots of coffee, red berries and some manure, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, quite roasty, rather earthy and slightly funky finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. This apparently amped-up variant of Kaffee Käte cannot completely convince me. It's too heavy on the coffee and the brett aromas clash a little with it. I wouldn't say it's off but it's not very harmonious either.

Runder, fein säuerlicher Beginn. Viel Malz, starkes und doch weiches Kaffeearoma. Brett, etwas Bitterschokolade, vollmundig malzig. Trockenes Mundgefühl, cremig malzig-säuerlicher Abgang. Gut! 10/12/12/12/13/12
