Coronado Weekend Vibes IPA 6.8% The blurb on the side of the van says tropical dankness which sums it up nicely. Opaque brassy-copper color with a thickly rocky off-white head and fragrant tropical punch aroma. The taste is bitter woodsy dank and resinous upfront then the fruity elements kick in providing some nice balance. Quite good and it hits the spot.

Can (8/20/20) pour from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow with light sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with excellent retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is strong, bright citrus. Taste follows aroma with strong citrus but also resiny bitterness and a bit of pepper. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, pretty true to the description and a West Coast IPA with citrus fruitiness.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Slightly hazy golden color with a medium thin white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of grassy hops, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

From can to pint glass. Aroma is a bit muted in the hops with a bit of forest floor and slight dank. Beautiful clean golden-yellow with moderate white head that fades to a full ring of small and medium bubbles and a covering across the top. Flavor is dank, piney and slight orange in the back. Moderate high bitterness is a bit rough.

US Pint can on 31st Dec 2019, sat in the sun while on holiday in California. Slight haze to the golden body, white head. Citrus hoppiness in the nose and taste, semi-bitter, well carbonated and dry.

Can from GBBF 2019 and drunk at home. Clear deep gold colour lasting white head. Light dankness on aroma and in the mouth. But it doesn't have the NEIPA thick mouthfeel. In fact the lightness in the mouth is pretty good. Light malt but enough to be there. Good bitterness on finish. Light tropical fruit. A bit too fizzy. Some citrus fruit as well. I quite liked it. Good fresh hoppy flavour. Decent.

GBBF Day 2. Can. Almost clear gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, slightly sharp fine carbonation. Light malts. Thin creamy sweetness. Hops bring pine and mild hop spice. Soft orangey citrus. Some peel and marmalade. Hmm. Okay. Mosaic anonymous, but nothing unusual there. The Simcoe and Citra are decent but lack a little brightness. Hop spice linger.
