Bottle split at L6, thanks to Kenny, 25/07/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is mellow roast, light cocoa dusting, dark fruits, light spice. Taste comprises cocoa powder, charr, berry pips, light pine, toffee, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dusted with earthy hop bitterness. Ok easy drinking CDA.

Bottle shared in London - cheers! Pours brown with a creamy, khaki head. Ashy roast in the nose, cocoa. Light sweet flavour, moderate roast, earth, dried fruits, leather, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Soft chocolate notes in the finish, some berries. Decent.

Bottle at DS - thanks to Ken. It pours near black with thick tan head. The aroma is earthy roast, aniseed, cocoa, plummy fruits, fruit cake, toasted brown sugar and treacle. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy roast, cocoa, tannin, spice, dull smoke, woody, spice and fruit cake. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit thin and feels more like a porter than a black ipa.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Semi opaque deep amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and airy palate, modest fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, touch of cream. Mild pine. Touch of fruits. Some bittermess on the light semi dry finish. Modest spicy bitter linger. Okay.
