The nice part about the Luchador wardrobe is the versatility. Comfortable, breathable, devastating in the ring, and ruthlessly efficient when the occasion calls for beach volleyball. This variation of our Mexican-Style Chocolate Stout adds Coconut into the mix for a smooth and sweet seasonal twist alongside the classic roasted malt and chocolate flavors that define our Sombrero series.

Can pour into tulip glass from The City, Plaistow NH. Appearance is cloudy dark, dark brown--almost opaque black--with mahogany with light source directly behind, mist of fine- and medium-sized floaties, nice sparkle noted near the head, two-finger foamy beige head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt and coconut, coffee, cinnamon, dark chocolate, maybe some pepper spice. Taste is coconut, roasted malt, cinnamon, vanilla, late mild chocolate and dark molasses, and mild pepper spice. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation with late lively kick, hint of alcohol warmth, pepper spice more than heat, and finish as taste with pleasant, mild, dry bitterness offsetting the sweet. Overall, strong all around with nice complexity. Would be truly decadent with a thicker mouthfeel but is appropriate as is given the style.

Draft. Pitch black with a small beige head. Aroma of coconut and dark roasted malt. Thick enough mouthfeel. I don't taste a lot of coconut. More alcohol flavor than coconut due to the 7.0% ABV.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Chocolate dominates the aroma with some underlying burnt malt. Med body or so. Flavor is chocolate, roasty/burnt malt, toasted coconut notes and a slight hint of chili. Not dry; coconut, burnt malt and chili stand in for bitter. Tastes good.

Aroma is chocolate, light roast, subtle coconut. Roasted backbone is light, mild chocolate, very mild coconut. Pepper spice is low. Body is a little bit lean for an imperial Stout.
