Our most popular Double IPA is a hop head’s dream come true. Utilizing a bit of caramel and honey malt to create a delicate and very subtle sweetness, this is an amazingly balanced beer considering its hop-forward nature. We selected a neutral yeast strain to ensure nothing interferes with the intense tropical juiciness of this choice mix of citrus hops. Dry, drinkable, and dangerous.

Tap at Rose and Crown in Palo Alto. Pours a moderately hazy orange with full, retained white head of small bubbles. Overt citrus and slight pine come off of the nose, with an orange peel aroma on the latter half. Taste is mixture of dank resins and citrus, orange. Marries well with sustained cracker in the back to provide sturdy backbone. Beautiful beer, with my two favorite hops blending perfectly yet again.

From a can at Homebrewstuff pours a deep almost fluorescent orange. Thin dense off white head. Big bold bitter and tropical hop aromas and flavors. The strength of it comes accros a bit chemically. Lingering moderate bitterness. Nice flavors and hefty palate without seeming thick. Pretty good

12 oz can from a six pack from Heritage Meats. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, perfume, candy. Pours nearly clear burnt orange with a collapsing beige head and little flecks of sediment floating around. Taste is highly bitter, with a tad malty sweetness that attempts to help balance it but doesn’t succeed very well; flavors of citrus, pine. This beer holds up pretty well for being canned six months ago. Didn’t notice the date till I walked out of the store. Doh! This brewery is brand new to my area, so it’s really surprising this is that old. The distributor must have had it sitting in their warehouse for awhile before bringing it into the market. Fuckers. This beer would have been amazing when fresh.

Transparent orange-amber, not much foam but also not poured too vigorously. Aroma has citrus, herbal, cut grass and bit of sugar crust. Taste is fragrant, resiny and actually also sweet. I feel some fresh pine sprouts mixed with honey and brewed into a hoppy nectar - because this is how it feels. Great example of a well executed DIPA.

Thanks Greg for sharing the can! Poured into a wine glass showing moderate filtered golden yellow with sparse white foam. The nose shows hints of honey with strong notes of pine, pineaple, and hemp. The palate is medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Shows a lot of pine resin, a light malty sweetness, and a sharp IPA bitterness on the finish. Pretty much your standard DIPA but pretty solidly done.

Can. Clear golden/amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange peel, salted lemon, white bread, shower gel and dried leaves. Flavour of menthol, tomatoes, pine, grapefruit, sweet malt and a big bitter finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Heavy on the hops. Decent.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small cream colour head. Dank hoppy nose, spicy fruits too. Palate is light and slightly soft, modest fine carbonation. Malts provide a little cream but they are not that sweet. Spicy dank hops, strong dankness. Ripe tropical fruits underneath. Piney dank finish. Dank!

Can shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Cloudy golden with an off-white head. Nice fruity and piney hops aroma, a bit oniony. Flavor has some sweetish malt, oniony and fruity hops, and a very bitter finish. Medium-bodied. A bit too sweet and heavy, but nice.

Can from Beer Gonzo webshop, Coventry, consumed at home Friday 18th December 2015 Pours warm gold with a white head. Thick in the mouth, but too malty and cloying for my liking, at first I thought that I liked it but after a while I got a little tired of it. Hops are drowned out by a plodding syrupy maltiness.
