New England and Brut IPAs.
We used Mosaic, Citra and Ekuanot hops in both these IPAs. They can be tasted together and compared or enjoyed on their own.
The Brut IPA is about paring back the beer to intensify the flavours of the hops. The beer is bone dry, crisp and light, but with an intense hoppy flavour.

Can at home from Honest Brew. A hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a fading white head. Aroma is semi sweet, juicy melon, white grape, straw. Flavour is composed of raw grains, rustic bread, dirty bitter citrus, grapefruit skin, background tropical. Harsh back of the throat bitterness. Palate is crisp and dry, highish carbonation. Dried citrus harsh bitterness.

440ml can. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, mango, peach, pithy citrus. Taste of mango, peach, orange, grapefruit, quite a strong pithy bitterness and dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Decent IPA but I enjoyed the NEIPA version a lot more, though this Brut was indeed crisp and dry as described.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; hazy golden amber pour with a bubbly off white head, aroma has pine and tangerine, taste has smooth malts, pine, tangerine, I’m perplexed to understand why this is brut.

440ml can. Canned 12/11/18. Dry, slightly fruity and grainy with some mineraly notes and minimal body, hints of bitterness. Very dry and minimal body, feels almost like a hoppy water despite it has over 7% ABV

Keg at HL3 (Winter), 30/11/18. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is bitter orange, light dank exhaust, pine needle, citric tinged straw, trace of fart. Taste comprises raw tropical fruits, light dank chimes, pine dusting, straw, grass, bitter sweet mango, hint of green berry must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spiked with balanced hop bitterness. Decent.
