Pale golden in colour and very well hopped, but pleasantly so with a great balance between fruitiness and bitterness.

500ml bottle. Pours dark gold with a large head. Aroma is earthy and watered down Ribena. Faint. Taste has faint berries to start and an earthy, bitter finish.

500ml bottle: best before 31 May 2013, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 08 Oct 2012. Orange/light amber body with a good, deep head of white foaming bubbles on top. The nose is a sharp floral/fruit tartness: so is the initial taste, really tangy feel to the carbonisation and body. Crisp and sharp flavours, would have liked some maltiness to off-set the hop front, back and sides. This is refreshing but lacks depth and isn’t really balanced in its flavours. One for the hop heads who don’t want to be blown away but prefer the hops to dominate the taste. It’s a strange brew because although it is hoppy, it isn’t overly dry or bitter. I wonder if it would mellow given a few months?

Bottle from Morrisons, Banbury, purchased & consumed Sunday 12th August 2012 Pours gold with a large white foamy head. Sweetish and whilst there is a hoppy edge, there is not a lot of character to this beer, little dry, fruity, fine. A5 A3 T6 P2 Ov12 2.8

Bright blond colour with lumpy head. Aroma is quite light, just a hint of floral hop. Lightly bitter flavour. It’s a good summer session beer.
