Cask handpump at The White Horse, Banbury, Oxon, Sunday 5th March 2017 Pours very dark brown with nice cream textured and coloured head. Soft, easy drinking mild, not necessarily picking up plums but I guess that is the fruitiness I’m getting, a little thin (watery) smooth, ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Cask at the Wellington Arms, Bedford. Looking pitch black at first, but actually a dark reddish chestnut, with a unruly tan head; aroma of stewed plums; soft plummy fruit taste with a smooth pulpy body and a touch of licorice and chocolate in the background; then a pleasantly dry, roasted malt finish with lingering fruit. Really good.
