Cask @ The Beehive, LGW
Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of fruits, bready malts and earthy notes. Taste is watery, smooth and mildly crisp with some maltiness and grassy notes. Finish is smooth and easygoing with hints of malts. Quite generic English bitter

Amber, thin head. Aroma is not much, but it has a complex mix of yeasty fruits, mellow hops, toasty malts, minerally character - all the beer’s ingredients show here.

Hand-pulled pint in The Albion, a Marston’s owned pub in St Georges’s, Telford on 8th Sep 2013. Poured a good mid-amber colour with full white crown which lasted and gave some impressive lacing on the UK pint sleeve glass. Malty and fruity nose, with the same feel in the taste: a fine example of a UK basic Bitter, flavoursome and easy to drink with enough alcohol to allow a few pints to be supped without too much worry. Good session beer.

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear dark amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with bags of malt, a little fruit and a hint of fudgy caramel on the smooth palate. This beer grew on me the more I drank and I would certainly order a other. Fine for a session.

Cask at the Prince Of Wales, Twickenham - 30/09/12. Badged as the house beer "Bank’s - Prince of Ales". Clear golden with a thin white head. Malt forward nose, apples, almost cider like, toffee. Taste follws from this fruity apple notes, orchard fruits, malt. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation leading to a bitter sweet finish. Boring.

Cask. Beautiful clear dark copper colour. Green apple flavour, a bit rough, but OK. I do not care much for the apple notes, but it seems to be more rounded than other bitters. Finishes nutty. Very standard bitter with no flaws. But boring, IMO.

Cask at the Wharf, Aalborg. Clear, almost copper-colored with some off-white bubbles for a head. Weak aroma, quite balanced, with malt and hops. Malty flavor with a decent bitterness. Too thin in the mouth, but quite quaffable. Decent finish, but too boring overall. (070331)

Cask: Copper coloured, lacing off-white foam; fruity bitter nose, a bit yeasty; moderate bitter flavour, light bodied; light fruity, later mild bitter finish. O.K., a quite good thirst-quencher, clean and refreshing, not very demanding.........
