Cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. 5%. Deep gold and almost clear with a loose ring of off-white head. Big floral aroma, light notes of sweet cooking spices. Taste is sweet with more sweet spice and light notes of citrus peel. More floral notes and a bitterness in the end of the sip. Medium body, nil carbonation. Impressive if maybe the tiniest bit one-dimensional, rare for Torrside.

Hazy blond with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour are very wheaty and hoppy. Super fresh and easy to drink.

Bottle picked up from Torrside Brewery Tap, Open Day, consumed at home Wednesday 14th December 2016 Dark gold and somewhat hazy, there is a good sized white head atop. This is one of these hops where I get a sicky/bile hint, but be aware I don’t dislike this, it’s just what I think of as soon as I get a whiff, strange really as I note it’s a Polish Hop so it’s unlikely to be that then. Fruity but then quite dry not going well with my toothpaste (just cleaned my teeth) still I did like this and think it’s another example of them nailing a different style and hitting the high notes with a slightly lower abv beer. Effects of toothpaste wearing off now and beer flavours coming back to the fore. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Bottle from Harvey Leonard’s, Glossop. Golden with a small carbonation and a thin head. Has a dry hoppy character with citrus fruits and a small bitterness rather than any notable ’wheat’ styling.
