Bottle from Alesbymail. Slow gushing Imperial Stout? You don’t see that every day. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, bretty and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet, moderate bitter and light acidic. Dry, moderate bitter and light acidic finish. Solid brett infection, and most likely not what the brewer intended. Not bad, though. 040518

10% Bottle. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is airy ad mildly dry and a little soft. Modest fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts edge close toward sour. Coca Cola. Tangy fruits include mild fig. Airy finish. Tasty but fatigue soon set in here, could not drink much of this.

Bottle 10% version (should this not have a separate rating?) from Beer Gonzo webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry, consumed at Mum and Keigh’s, Kempsey, Nr Worcester, Worcestershire Friday 30th December 2016 Pours murky dark brown in colour with a scummy head, it’s ok but no looker. Really fruity with a tangy and tart edge, we both get a touch of Brett, however it doesn’t mention this on the bottle. Dark fruits, plum skins, zappy tanginess, it’s pretty good. A6 A2 T7 P4 Ov14 3.3

Tap. Cotteridge. Clear, dark brown. Barely a head. Nose has amaretto liqueur. Sweet, milk chocolate. Sugary espresso. Date and figgy fruitiness. Taste is huge, sugary, dried fruit sweet. Completely tooth numbing. Rich, slick, sticky mouthfeel. Finishes much the same. Manages to drink under the ABV, but overall this is way too sweet for me.
