[ As Blackedge Dark Rum ].
ABV: 4.6%. Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, wood, oakl. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, woody - earthy, oak, smoe chocolate - coffee - roasted malt. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20200123]

From wooden cask, third shared with Finn at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Wood Bar. Almost black in the glass, bubbles on the surface, scattered lacing. Mild smell of roasted malts. Malt-driven taste with earth and dark chocolate, discreet touch of rum. Roasted endnotes. Satisfying. (2nd day of the festival, 23.01.2020).

Cask at the St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2019, St Albans, Herts. A black coloured pour with a medium off white bubbly head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, slight rum aroma and taste.

Aroma and flavour have dark roasted, bitter malts and the sweetness of rum too. Quite rich and full bodied.

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol March 2015. Near black in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Toasty malts, sweet dark fruits and brown sugar, some plain chocolate and moderately dry finish. Enjoyable.

Manchester Beer Festival 2015. Black with a small off-white head. Has a fullish roasted malt aroma and taste with a lingering sweetness.
