Tap or from the box at Full Monty. Deep gold, still. Nose is caramel, vanilla, apple crisp, cream, some funky old cheese. Creamy lactic flavor with sweet caramel and vanilla. This is a stretch for me, but interesting.

Bottle at home as the alias ’Morrison’s Medium Dry Cider’. A bright clear golden yellow coloured pour with a fine white fading head. Aroma is bile and tangy apple, woody notes, semi crisp. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangy, dry woody fruit, little bark, simple sugars. Palate is semi sweet, crisp, spritzy carbonation. Pretty easy going. Decent.

Rated as Marcle Hill Cider. Tapped from a box, ½Pint for £1.08 at Wetherspoon-pub in Derry. This cider is dry in the beginning, smooth and slightly tart. The mainpart is smooth, sweetish and not really tart. The aftertaste is juicy, appley. 10/12/9/10

Cask / Bag in a Box @ Euston Cider Tap. Reading the ratings I’m not entirely sure if this is the same cider but this is where ratebeer directed me. So. This has some pretty interesting flavours with a prominent vanilla character and possibly a little caramel from the oak. Dry, yet smooth with possibly a little rum coming through. Again, a very interesting blend and one I wouldn’t mind re-visiting on my return to the Cider Tap.

GBBF 2013 backlog. CASK as Family Reserve Cider.

Colour: intense straw-yellow, clear.

Aroma: faint fermented fruit aroma.

Taste: fruit/apples, a bit of apple skin character.

Overall quite sweet and very little of that vinegar/acetone character.
