Cask at Wellington, Birmingham. Clear dark gold/light amber with small white top. This one had a malty biscuit base with floral and bitter lemon notes. Light to medium bodied and a soft carbonation. Very average in some ways but it grew on me - it has a certain old style session quality to it which I like.

Bottle from Aldi, Keighley. Golden with a thin head. Has a steady hop-malt balance, making it a pretty decent and sessionable English style ale with a mild sweetness.

50cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell. A pale amber pour with a tight white head; sweet biscuity malt aroma; sweet in the mouth with a light malty taste and some caramel; but little in the way of hops.

Bottle from Aldi. Golden in colour with a billowy, white, head. Sweet bitter, with a touch of floral hope and stone fruit, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Golden colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have some skunky and floral hops. Fairly bitter finish.

Cask at the Duke William, Stourbridge. Pours golden with a medium head. Had a sulphurous nose with eggy hops. Taste was plain and bready with a low bitter finish.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A dark golden beer with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is flowery and lightly hoppy and malty. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, malt, fruit, and German hops? Leading to a quite bitter finish.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Straw colour, lasting head. Good condition, bit of biscuit, bit of cardboard on aroma. Some rose petal fruit. Some hop on finish. Oddly drinkable bitter. Citrus hop bite is just enough to make you want to drink it. I am surprised at how good it is. OK, still only a 3.2 but it is fine.
