Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours a pale straw with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. There’s malts and citrus in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with some underlying sharpness. Floral hops bring citrus and lemon to the flavour with traces of grapefruit coming later. A little bitterness appears in the lemony finish. This is reasonable though it doesn’t really stand out from the crowd.

Cask at CPK - Pimlico, London. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose holds grainy pale malts, lemon peel, straw. Light sweet flavour with notes of biscuits, light husky hitterness, hay, further citrus peel, a little grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with further dry, biscuity pale malts, damp straw, grain husks. So so overall.

Cask at the White Horse, Hedgerley, Buckinghamshire. Pours a very pale gold with a small bubbly white head but rather lifeless. Aroma of light hop, with citrus and floral notes. Medium+ sweetness, very little by way of bitterness. Thin body, sticky/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finish was a little more bitter.
