On tap at Foleys Taphouse, Leeds pre lockdown. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is odd, not great. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, bitter chocolate, roasted malts. Thin bodied for the style, light carb, dry finish. Not great overall

ABV: 4.7%. Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted - dark malt, - roasted - sweet malt, oat, roasted - chocolate malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, oat, dark malt - roasted - chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20200122]

8/2/2020. From cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival, Birmingham. Pours dark brown with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and berries. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a light tart edge. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ GBBF Winter, Birmingham. Black with a a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and slightly sour. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish with a light sour edge. 080220
