As part of the Skyline Project, we were paired to create, in true Evil Twin spirit, a huge imperial stout!

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small dark tan head with a lifespan that would make a mayfly think it was Methesula. Soft palate has a definite viscosity, reasonable fine carbonation. This is a strong beer on the mouthfeel. That said there is no alcohol heat or spice here. Impressively lacking either in fact. What is not lacking is coffee, there is an intense coffee here, fruity and slightly savoury. Coffee liqueur in abundance, but lacking in the sweetness department. Smooth rich coffee finish. Very drinkable and a bit of a stealth bomb in terms of abv. Good stuff!

Keg at Pigs Ear 2019 - Hackney, London. Pours black with a creamy mocha head. Big and meaty, with ashy roast, earthy bitterness, nots of alcohol, baking cocoa. Full bodied and chewy, with fine carbonation. Moderately warming in the finish, some lightly sticky burnt sugars, more bittersweet dark chocolate. Solid overall.

Keg at pigs ear 2019. A jet black coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Big spicy coffee, wood, green pepper, machiato. Flavour is composed of big smooth roast, green pepper, wasabi, green coffee bean, brown sugars, spicy. Paalte is thick, chewy, moderate carbonation, meaty. Good.

Can from the Skyline box procured from Park Fever, Hither Green. Black pour with a swiftly dissipating tan head. Nose of charred wood, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, rum raisin. Flavour is woodsmoke, chocolate cake, coffee, soy sauce, brandy snaps, burnt caramel. Sweet smoky finish.
