If it is to be flavored, mango is a good route to go. I bought a 12 oz can at the closest HEB supermarket. The can is out of date a month and a half, should not make a big difference I hope. I flip the top and pour into my globe glass of choice. The appearance is different, to be honest I have not seen this color in a beer before. A silvery, light yellow with a stay-with-it thin skim of totally white foam. The nose is more normal, lightly hoppy and some juiciness. I lift for a drink and am mostly not encouraged. Everything seems scaled back a notch. Orange juice for sure, a subdued hoppiness, mango, pineapple, white bread, paper and a small bitterness. You taste and you learn.

Pours very hazy light yellow with a one finger white head. The aroma is heavy on the mango with some hop resin. The flavor has mild bitterness, mango, resin, and malt. There’s lingering hops in the finish. Good fruit beer.
Hazy gold body medium foamy white head. Citrus fruit punch aroma. Citrus fruity flavor. medium body moderate carbonation. 7/2/9/4/17 3.9

Can. Cloudy golden body with a frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of tropical fruit, orange, toasted grain. Lightly to moderately bitter in the finish after a sweet, candy start. Light to medium body, watery texture. Too fruit juicy with a thin, watery body. Expected more heft.

12 oz. can from Downtown Produce. Pours an opaque pineapple juice color with a white head and excellent retention. Lots of spotty lacing. Strong grapefruit and hops aroma. All grapefruit hops taste with soft bitterness and a juicy hops finish. The 6.7% ABV is well hidden. Light body. Okay for an IPA.

Done a long day at work, time for a beer. New Belgium 1985 IPA Hazy IPA 6.7% 30 IBU Lightly hazy gold with a big spritz citrusy fruity aroma featuring tutti-frutti with mango rind. Very nice juicy IPA not quite to the point of great haze but I think it’s one of those mountain IPAs due to the fairly light body and dry finish. Great easy drinking stuff that has me feeling I should be having it while watching Stranger Things.
