Can. Nose is toffee, malt, fruit, bread. Taste is malt, bitter grapefruit rind, brown sugar, rye bread, pine, marmalade, vhint of licorice. Mouthfeel is thin. Very drinkable, and good complexity for the strength. Can?t shake the feeling I?d prefer is bigger brother while drinking.

Can from Deeside Drinks Emporium. It pours clear red - brown bread with a medium beige head. The aroma is malt - driven, brown bread, wood, pretzel, caramel, stewed orange citrus and grapefruit. The taste is dry, bitter, piney, resinous, zesty grapefruit, earthy, brown bread, peppery spice and burnt toffee with a drying, piney finish. Light - medium body and moderate carbonation. Sort of comes across as a hopped up esb. Not bad, but I prefer the regular bastard.
