Bottle 330ml. @ [ PBF X ] Petalax Beer Festival 2015 by oh6gdx, Petalax, Finland. [ As Pampus Big Black Beaver ].Clear dark black brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark roasted, soft licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, ash, soft licorice. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20150725]

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and bread: The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, and dark chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle@Yesprs - Black pour with tan ring. Aroma and taste is roasted and sweet malty, some soya, liquorice, some burnt malty notes, toasty finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty, breadish and dark malty. Dark roasted, almost metallic to minerals. Liqourice, roasted and dark breadish. Dry and bitter finish.

Bottled@PBF X. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some coffee, mild chocolate as well as some spices and mild alcohol to it. Flavour is very similar in a pleasant balance. Big toffeeish and spicy finish to it, along with black strongly roasted coffee.

A black beer, a head is big and beige. Aroma has liquirice, coffee, salt liquirice, also herbal hops and spices of anise. Taste has salt liquirice, liquirice, some anise. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Personal, interesting gradients with interesting flavours are noticable.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Near black, small head. Licorice, blueberry and aniseed. Sweet with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Sweet with blueberry jam, licorice and aniseed. Sugary finish. Interesting but overly sweet.

Bottle @ home. Pitch black color. Brown head, quickly disappearing. Aroma’s: drop/licorice, dark malts, sweet spices (aniseed, licorice). Retronasal it’s even more droppig (Engelse drop), sweet spices, light plastic. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, herbal/spices. Medium bodied. Finishes slightly ashy, herbal, moderate bitter.
