8-4-7-4-15 Bottle, vintage 2011, nine years after bottling. Pours clear dark mahogany, with a small creamy mocha head. Aroma is roasted malts with rye bread, kandi sugar, prunes and dark fruits, as well as liquorice and tannins. Creamy body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is dark and fruity malty notes of rye bread, molasses, kandi and liquorice, as well as tobacco, rum raisins and tannins.

A bottle from Asao. 2011 vintage. It poured a rich amber red with almost no head which left behind zero lacing. The aroma was a powerful malty sweetness which was matched by the flavor which gave me lots of caramel and port like notes. The high ABV is evident in lots of warming and some booziness. It is a very sweet beer but nice to sip or share. You don’t want to down this by yourself or too quickly! It’s an interesting beer and I love their tagline "The World’s most Extraordinary Beverage" I was surprised to see this classified as a malt liquor! I would say the taste is more like a Belgian Strong Ale...

Bottle 330ml vintage 2011 @ home
Pours clear brown with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, raisin, alcohol and hint of chocolate. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long very raisin sweet fruity and warm boozy finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
