Bottle at home picked up from Mitchells wines. A Clear golden coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is earthy grains, straw, tangy notes, wet grass, tangy straw. Flavour is composed of light earthy cereals, straw, mineral, thin grains, numbing grassy hops, dirty finish. Palate is crisp, thin, light grainy, moderate fine carbonation. ok .

Really surprised I've never had this one! Handpull cask at the Red Lion, Bakewell. Light blonde, clear with a decent white head leaving creamy lacing. Hay, butter, light notes of sulphur. Oh dear, its one of 'those' blondes. Buttery taste. Astringency in the aftertaste. Medium body with soft to no carbonation. Not a bit fan if these beers at all but at least this was in good condition.

Amazingly I have never drunk this beer before – despite having seen it many times. Anyway, cask at Military Arms, Sandbach (not yet listed in RB). Pours a pale straw with medium sized almost white head and good lacing. Aroma comprises of citrus and malts. In the mouth it is decidedly sweet and juicy with just a tiny hint of bitterness> A little watery with flavour of citrus and hint of grapefruit and some floral hops coming through later. Citrus lasts into the dry finish. This is decent – certainly more pleasant than I was expecting.

My 50th British brewery with a beer rating. Cask at Railway in Liverpool. Bright honey gold pour. Creamy beige head. Great lacing. Biscuity malt nose. Flavor is soft and silky. Light biscuit malt. Grassy hops. Smooth and enjoyable.
