Innis & Gunn IPA is brewed using a new extra pale malt which is uniquely kilned to develop more pronounced malty and biscuit flavours.
The result is an easy-drinking, refreshing beer, very light in colour with bags of hop flavour, perfectly balanced by a sweet, malty finish.

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, light, reasonable carbonation. Light clean malts provide a modicum of sweetness. Light orange and orange pith, touches of pine and lemon. LIght dry finish leaves a bitter linger. Clean if a little thin.

Can as Session IPA with 4.6% ABV. Pours a clean golden colour with a frothy white cap, nicely lasting a while with some good foam lacing. Fresh hoppy aromas of grapefruit zest, other citruses and hints of pines. Crisp mouthfeel with a nice light dryness in the finish. The hops are nicely balanced, getting a little stronger with every sip. Less bitterness than in the nose, but still present. Quite nicely done. Closer to an IPA than being a Session.

33cl bottle. A clear deep golden beer with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of citrusy bitter hops, spruce, resins. Taste of resinous hops, citrus, caramel, some pine, long bitter finish, okay!

330ml can into schooner glass. As session IPA, 4.6%. Clear golden amber beer with medium carbonation and fluffy white head. Initial plasticine aroma gives way to mild pepper and fruit notes. Full body, smooth texture. Initially easy-drinking, the doughnut malts and tinny hops in the lingering finish wear you down. Not great.

Can. As Session IPA. A more or less clear one, golden in colour and with a finger thick white head. Metallic, piney and grassy aroma with some tropical fruit and grass. It's rather dry on the palate, yet with an initial sweetness. Medium body and a pleasant carbonation level. Pine cones, resins, hints of grass and with biscuity pale malts in the back. Good bitterness, and a metallic touch towards the finish. A decent one, but a bit harsh. 171020

Can at home in London. Pours clear gold with a fluffy white head. The nose has some crackery pale malts, lemon meringue. Light-medium sweet flavour with some husky and grassy bitterness, vague citrus rind, crispy pale bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more crackers, pale bread crust, some husk, tangerine, bitter grass, a little white sugar. Pretty simple, and a little oddly bitter. So so overall.
