Pint in the Wetherspoons at Victoria. A good pour with a dark brown appearance and a good head. The taste and mouthfeel were typical of an English style pale ale; hairy chested with lots of malt and bitter hops resulting in a rich beer. Perfectly pleasant. The place was packed and unfortunately I shared a table with a guy who turned out to be a drunk nutter, which probably explains why there was space. I moved quickly and reminded myself that I was in a Wetherspoons.

Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a small scummy off white head. Aroma is a light malt with a cider apple fruitiness and a touch of grass. Light sweet malt taste, a little fruit and a herbal bitterness. Some dryness in the finish, a bit thin.

Deeper amber win colour with a frothy head. Has a fairly high bitterness with tropical fruits itching to become stated. Good fruity aroma and quite crisp.
