Knowle Spring is a full-bodied blonde beer brewed with Golden Promise barley malt, Strisselspalt hops from Alsace, and UK-grown Minstrel, Cascade and Chinook hops. It’s an easy-drinking beer with floral and grapefruit aromas, spiced orange on the tongue followed by aromatic citrus hop flavours to finish.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with minimal off-white head and good lacing. There’s tangerine and floral hops in the aroma. In the mouth there’s an immediate fruitiness which resolves into mushy apples, floral and continental hops and grapefruit plus a hint of ginger. Finish is quite sweet. This is pretty good – certainly better than expected from the dreaded “golden ale” categorisation.

Pours dark golden to light orange with the slightest bit of haziness. Compact, not so big white head; decent retention and nice lacing. There's a kinda soft malty foundation in the aroma, though i couldn't detect specific notes except for a reminiscence of cereals; vivid fruity (jam-like) notes follow with notes of berries, candied orange, slight grapefruit. Taste is a bit different from what the aroma suggested: cerealish malt base with hints of honey, a floral touch, fruity notes of candied orange, light grapefruit and citrus. Starts soft as the aroma suggested, with a sweet edge in the mouth, ends in excellent balance with a semi-dry finish that leaves a bit of bittering feel. Light bodied as obvious with average or slight below average carbonation; very easy and highly drinkable.

Cask at Bishops Arms, Västerås. Thick lasting head. Very thin feel in the mouth but with recognisable Blonde cask taste. Quite astringent bitterness in the end. (29/10/22) --- Cask at Captain Cooks, Östersund. I can see where the bitterness comments comes from. It's hard to tell how good it is or not. Overall I enjoyed it though. Gives much for its abv. 2.8 to 3.

Bottle. Nose is underwhelming, yeast and light malt notes. Taste is better pale malt, grapefruit, herbal hop, in a floral and citrus finish. Aggressively carbonated

Rocky white head stayed on a nicely carbonated golden coloured body. Sweet malt & tobacco aroma. Medium bodied, tingly & cloying. Pale malt, fruity, lighthouse, floral & confectionery tastes with a bitter finish. That's a refreshing pint.
