This iteration of our double dry hopped IPA is based on the classic West Coast style, with a modern citrus-forward dry hop. That means you can expect a bright clarity with big zesty, citrus flavours, resinous pine notes and a dry, bitter finish.

Aroma & Flavour: Zesty grapefruit and orange flavours, and light caramel malt profile.
Body: Medium, bright body with a dry finish and prickling carbonation.
Aftertaste: Bitter with lingering citrus and resinous pine notes.

440ml can. Hazy golden orange with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, resin. Taste of orange and grapefruit, sweet caramel, pine, resinous, pithy, very bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Another great IPA. Had this one right after V1 and I think the big difference is I can actually taste malts (caramel) in this one.

Can at home from Grumpy Goat, 2nd December 18. Pours an orange straw colour, slight haze. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, aromatic, fantastic. Taste follows suit, aromatic, bitter, grapefruit, citrus pith, this is banging, really aromatic, piney, citrus, great bitter finish. Love it, best Cloudwater I have had for a long time.

COD 241018. Not much a fan of west coast IPA's, and this is another good example. Heavy bitter, lots of resiny hops. Good dose of bitter citrus peel, but all in all just way too resiny for me. Quality stuff, just very not my style.

Can at home in Hackney - cheers to the Cloudwater sourcers. Pours lightly unclear honey-gold with a tight, foamy white head. Fairly punchy stuff, definitely hits the West Coast notes, lots of piney bitterness, crackery sun-kissed malts, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some piney resin, nips of dry caramel, bready malts, more rindy citrus. Good for what it is. Nice to have an IPA with bitterness, too.

Can at home, split with James, 10/11/18. Hazed golden amber with a well presented egg shell white covering. Nose is bitter orange, pine needle, citric tinged straw, toasted malts, grapefruit. Taste comprises grass, pine needle, orange pith, toasted grains, cantaloupe melon, lemon drizzle, hint of pineapple. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent clean drinking IPA.

Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Medium haze on an orangey, old gold. Thin, lasting, white head. Nose has spruce tips. Resin. Candied peel. Soft floral herb. Clean, spicy, ginger biscuit malts. Taste is full on, resinous, spicy bitter. Little in the way of sweetness. Medium body. Fairly drying. Low carbonation. Punchy, herbal, resinous bitterness to finish. Full on. Tasty gear.
