Bottle shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Nice darker reddish color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweetish a bit, wood aging? Hmm not sure. Something other than that typical wood aging flavor seems to be in there. Hard to describe. Overall though, not a bad quad imo. 8-7-7-7-7

75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Pours a clear amber, white head. Caramel nose. Flavour profile is moderately sweet caramel with fudgey hints, relatively light bodied for a quad. Pleasant enough sipper.

Pretty clear red brown beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet impression, lots of ripe banana, spicy, a bit dusty, pretty oxidized, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit watery, yeasty, banana, banana peel, a little bitter, oxidative notes. Aftertaste: a bit watery, grains, hay, cow fodder, a little metallic, meh.

Léger pale versant sur l’ambre, col fin blanc-cassé.
Arôme sur une base malt caramel, pâle, finement toasté, effet grillé avec une petite touche vanillée et boisée en rétro-nasal.
Palais est sur une base classique qui reprend la base de quad classique – boisé du chêne apporte une petite douceur et vanillée – caramel, pâle, petite note de crystal amertume noble en fin de bouche et qui tranche un peu avec l’apport des malts.

*Rating overgezet van untappd* Fles bij de brouwerij geprobeerd met Inoven, het is een roodbruin bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft aroma van caramel en gedroogd fruit met tonen van hout. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet, caramel en hout.
