Bottle from Meibier. Strong smoked meat aroma with caramel, smoked malt, campfire, smoked sausage. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Solid Rauch.

0.5l bottle, huge thanks guys! Clear amber body, not much head. Caramelly, balcony aroma, light beans and vague butter. Lean, creamy taste, beans, pleasant smoke, light herbal notes, light caramel. Actually nice in a way, though the smoke profile is more on the beans side too.

500ml bottle. Opalescent, dark amber colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, minimally sulphureous, quasi white head. Mildly woody, smoky and minimally leafy aroma, hints of smoked wood, a touch of tea, smoked tea, weak, minimally doughy, yeasty overtones. Taste is mildly smoky, woody, minimally caramel malty, minimally leafy and mineral, hints of smoked wood, a touch of dark caramel, subtle residual sweetness, a touch of tea, smoked tea. Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Mild smokiness, light body, a tad too watery - OK.

0.5 l bottle from 'Meibier.de', best before June 2023. Slow gusher. Clear, deep amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite smoky, a little fruity aroma of caramel, smoked ham, nuts and light lemon peel. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite smoky and a bit fruity taste of caramel, nuts, honey, smoked ham and a touch of lemon peel, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant Rauchbier, not too demanding or moreish but quite well-balanced.

Enthält, neben dem üblichen Gerstenmalz, auch Weizenmalz. Farbe: Klares Kupfer - könnte als dunkles Bier durchgehen. Rauchiger Geruch (wie bei einem gemütlichen Lagerfeuer, wenn das Holz nicht wirklich knochentrocken ist). Getreide, leicht florale Nuancen und auch der Rauch sind geschmacklich bestimmend. Der Rauch ist im Mediumbereich angesiedelt (wenn man das sehr rauchige Schlenkerla hier als Referenz nimmt). Wenn man ganz genau reinschmeckt findet man nach 3 - 4 Schlucken auch fruchtige Birnenaromen. Recht weich. Ordentliche Substanz. Sehe ich als ein klassisches Märzen mit ausgeprägtem Rauchcharakter.

Bottle from Beerhunter111. Many thanks! Light hazy amber colour, white foam. Nose of smoked ham, toast, bread. Taste is light smoky, bready. Not bad but also not the best Rauchbier.

Clear amber a medium white head. Aroma had light smoke, ham, toasted malt and light caramel. Over the palate came smoked malt, hay, ham, bacon and caramel. Finished dry.

A good looking transparent dark copper, a couple of fingers of nicely persistence white head. Pretty good lacing too. A not very strong aroma shows a soft, slightly caramelish maltiness, delicate smoked notes (meaty, slightly ashy), perhaps a flowery hint. Taste is medium to high sweet and medium to low in bitterness, again with mild smokiness. Maybe the slightest hint of tartness too. Overall still in good balance with a clean finish. Taste notes as per aroma. Light to medium body, with quite low, extra fine (small-bubbled) carbonation, resulting in a very smooth, super easy mouthfeel, perhaps borderline watery. What really defines this mildly smoked rauchbier is softness and smoothness (there's a percentage of smoked wheat malts). It's pretty good at that: clean and easy drinkable, but it doesn't show much depth.

Bottle from Hier-Gibts-Bier, webshop, Eckersdorf, Bayern and consumed at home. Had this Saturday 1st May 2021 listening to Earth - Full Upon Her Burning Lips. Pours dark copper in colour, with a fast disappearing white head, excellent clarity. The smokiness was very apparent on those earlier sniffs but it has calmed somewhat now. Lovely soft moutheel, smokiness apparent, maltiness also showing, light caramel, good, simple, Rauchbier.
