April 2008: Brown 500ml bottle, long life left, so was fresh when tasted. Poured into a Duvel glass, well why not? Good amber, dark golden colour, clear and clean looking. Not as bright or light as the name might suggest. Large bubbley head that lasted a fair while. It looked good in the Duvel glass, I may well use it more often with British beers if it shows them off as good as this. Sour lemon and lime aroma, some hops as well, but not a huge aroma overall. The taste follows the smell very closely, citrus notes. Fairly dry and refreshing, a good mix of interesting flavours. At 4.3% this is a well balanced, easy drinking bitter. A bit watery maybe, but a fine session beer non-the-less, which I would like to try on cask if ever I come across it.

500 ml bottle, bought at Newcastle Intl Airport. ABV is 4.2%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Nice aroma of floral and herbal hops. Soft mouthfeel. The medium dry and refreshing flavour has some malts with hints of toffee and nuts, also some herbal hops, but the bitterness is quite moderate.
