Bottle from Waitrose. A dangerous kinda cider that hits the spot all too easily for its abv. Really nice drinking.

500ml bottle BBE in 23 months. Pale gold appearance and a bit lifeless when poured. Aroma promises much more with crisp sharp apples, oak and alcohol. Low carbonation and reasonable body, fairly smooth with a slight syrupy feel on the palate. Taste is like the aroma with a clean finish except the ABV is at the forefront and this is where I have a problem. I'm fine with high alcohol ciders but the flavours should be centre stage not the booziness. Having said that I really like oak vat ciders, and you do notice this particularly in the wonderful aroma.

Bottle shared at home. Pale and clear golden with no head. Sweet apples, grapes, white wine, bit of earthy and mustardy spices in the lower end, quite boozy. Moderate sweet, light tart crispy edge and smooth bitter. Medium body and low carbonation. Thanks to danlo!

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear light golden with no head. Dry apple, apple peel, earthy, white wine, soft mossy, leather, wet wood rotting wood in a damp forest, light alcohol, dry tannins. Light sweet and tart. Over light bodied with soft carbonation and medium dry finish. Has a lot of white wine character throughout. OK.

Tap at Stone in Helsinki. Tanni, dry apple nose. Some fruit sweetness, and a bit of acid, more tannic though and dry. Like it.

Bottle thanks to Max at Herne Hill Station from local offie (29062019) - clear golden pour with tiny head. Balance of dry and sweet cider with some light wooden accents, medium body, lingering fruity apple finish.

19/2/2019. Bottle from my local one-stop. 2015 Vintage. Pours very pale gold with a short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of medium sweet apples, oak and light sulphur. Medium sweetness, light to moderate sourness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. The level of alcohol comes through on this and sweetness picks up. Overall its pretty good.
