Bottled 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Black coloured, medium sized brownish head that went away fast, chocolate and caramel in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, touch of coffee and notes of herbal liqueur (pelinkovac). Mild roasty finish.

Sampled at Borefts 2019, Friday. A very dark brown beer. Aroma of strong dark caramelized malt. Taste of caramelized moderate sweet malt, chocolate, cookies.

Tap @ Molenbar, Black. Malt, caramel and roast in the aroma. Thin. Caramel, licorice and roast in the flavor. The balance is a bit questionable.

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is black bread, grains, oats. Taste is liquorice, roast, earthy. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not great.

Borefts XI Day 1. Keg. Opaque black- brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, some dark malt cream. Mild licorice. Smooth finish. Quite a straight up Impy, didn’t get the special chocolate thing at all.

Clear purple brown beer, big creamy irregular beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, nice roast, some chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of chocolate, soft roast, alcohol. Aftertaste: bit sweet, malty, chocolate, little spicy, some cinnamon.

Draft at Borefts’19, day 1. Black with a thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roast and caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Imperfect indeed, if that's what they were aiming for they succeeded. Quite a lot of roastyness, but pretty thin and watery. Just a hint of smoke, some dark coffee.. Needs sweetness and body. Not bad, just easily forgettable.

(Bottle, Dynamo Bar Le Soif, Brussels, 19 Oct 2018) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with roasted grain, chocolate and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with notes of caramel, dark chocolate, wort, burnt sugar and a mild roasty bitterness in a sweet finish. Almost full body, sweet. Not very complex, mainly sweet chocolate. And too sweet. Still, quite enjoyable.
