Аромат конечно пастри, но бочка и дерево ощущается сразу сильнее чем надо в этом стиле. Помимо бочки с ромом есть карамель, кокос хоть и не так много как хотелось бы, и суфле с шоколадом. Цвет маслянистый, пены конечно нету, разве только кофейная пленка. Вкус хороший и даже элитарный, но все таки немного мимо стиля. Не думаю что бочка с ромом и ноткой алкоголя сочетается с карамельным пироженым, кокосом и молочным шоколадом. Посевкусие с горчинкой. наверно слишком большой. В целом все таки пиво мне понравилось, но есть куда расти, смотреть надо в сторону скандинавии.

Can at Café De Koffer, Groningen. Tony Todd! Tony Todd! Luscious pastry aroma with coconut, milk chocolate, rum, candy bar, sugar, caramel. Quite sweet and rich, big decadence... Full body. Sugary but very tasty!

Draught@TCBW2019. Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet rum, coconut, chocolate, some alcohol and mild ripe fruitiness. Flavour is rum, coconut, some toffee, chocolate, mild toast and also some dried fruits to it. Not that boozy in the flavour.

Can @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino media, molto persistente. Al naso note di cioccolato di pasticceria, latte in polvere, cocco, caramello/toffee. Meh! In bocca è dolce, ai limiti dello stucchevole fin dai primi sorsi. Corpo pieno, vellutata al palato, carbonazione medio-leggera. Sbilanciatissima e grezza.

330ml can from Bochka in Moscow. Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized tan head. Aroma is rum, coconuts and sugar. Taste is medium to heavy sweet, caramel, rum, roasted malt, coconut. Light bitter finish. A little boozey, but overall very nice.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and soft palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow but undeniably chocolatey malts, kinda Cadburys dark milk, a good dose of dark chocolate but without the bitter cocoa grit that is beloved of the cocoa heads. Rum? Pretty lightly delivered and seamlessly integrated with some ripe fruits. A well judged coconut lightness that sits comfortably with everything else. Not the boldest of pastry stouts in this fairly brash style, but a well integrated one.

3/7/2020. Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Say Candyman five times and a super luxurious beer appears!! Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is deliciously dark chocolate, coconut bounty bar, roasted malt, rum and raisin. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Super good.
